Short Break around the British Isles

This wonderful short cruise packs a lot into six nights including a taste of Irish history and hospitality, dramatic Scottish landscapes and the beautiful and unspoilt Isle of Man. Make it a restful break with gentle strolls along harbour fronts or take in some fascinating historic and architectural attractions. One thing is sure, after sampling the delights of Ocean Countess and our specially chosen destinations, you’ll want to return!

Historic and vibrant Dublin, Ireland's capital, is your first port of call offering a chance to see St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Ha’penny Bridge, Guinness Storehouse and more. The scenic Isle of Mull is next with its spectacular coastline and rich wildlife. At picturesque Tobermory, original location of the children's television series Balamory, a pretty frontage of hotels, shops and houses wrap around the bay. The famous climbing outpost of Fort William sits at the southern end of the Great Glen, overlooked by Ben Nevis.  It’s a mountainous area of great natural beauty, with villages nestled along the shores of Scotland’s longest sea loch, Loch Linnhe.  Capital of the self-governing kingdom of the Isle of Man and set amid rolling hills, Douglas offers a delightful Victorian railway, horse trams and a unique culture. Discover the island’s beauty and gentle pace of bygone times. Finally, the port of Cobh (formerly known as Queenstown), evokes poignant memories of Irish migrants embarking for America and from where Titanic embarked on her ill-fated voyage. Perhaps choose to visit the nearby city of Cork, the beautiful Irish countryside or Blarney Castle for a chance to kiss its famous stone and receive ‘the gift of the gab’.

On board speaker on Ornithology.
