After a leisurely day at sea you awake to find yourself north of the border. Kirkwall, Orkney’s capital, is your first port of call from where you might wish to visit the famous Churchill Barriers, the beautifully preserved Neolithic village of Skara Brae, or the prehistoric Ring of Brodgar. Next stop is Ullapool, gateway to the untamed Highlands in the far north west of Scotland where red sandstone peaks rise above a stunning landscape of moors and hundreds of lochs. Tobermory’s picture-postcard, brightly painted waterfront is a charming introduction to the ‘Capital of Mull’. Wander through this picturesque town, or venture further and discover this most romantic of islands. You may wish to visit the tiny Isle of Iona, the cradle of Scottish Christianity. The capital of the Emerald Isle, Dublin needs no introduction. Discover the highlights of a city simply bursting with character. In complete contrast to Dublin’s bustling streets is the peace and tranquillity of the Isles of Scilly with a chance to visit the famous Tresco Abbey Gardens. Cobbled streets and an attractive marina, St. Peter Port is one of Europe’s prettiest harbour towns. Finally enjoy Honfleur and the option to visit fashionable Deauville, or Monet’s delightful garden and home at Giverny.
